(Updated) INSTRUCTIONS for the USDF Schooling Shows
AWARDS PROGRAM

Beginning with the 2020 show season (December 1 through November 30) Regional Schooling Show Awards will be governed and given by the United States Dressage Federation (USDF) to horse/rider combinations that have been nominated.

The USDF REGIONAL SCHOOLING SHOW AWARDS PROGRAM is offering regional recognition to USDF Group Members (i.e. members of a Group Member Organization (GMO) - competing in non-USEF licensed/non USDF recognized competitions, (i.e. "schooling shows"). The program will run December 1 through November 30 yearly. Four award divisions, including Open, Junior/Young Rider, Adult Amateur, and Non-professional will be recognized per region. The Open division will offer six levels of recognition (Training, First, Second, Third, Fourth and FEI), with the Junior/Young Rider, Adult Amateur, and Non-professional divisions offering an additional seventh level (Introductory).

Awards are ribbons and Certificates to the top 10 of each level/division - region wide.

You can earn points/percentages at any Dressage Schooling Show that has been "USDF recognized", within the region. You need a minimum of 5 scores from a minimum of 3 different Schooling Shows and 3 different Judges. The show need not be sponsored by a GMO - but it must be USDF recognized.

WHAT THE NEW MEXICO DRESSAGE ASSN. (NMDA) WILL DO: NMDA will obtain USDF recognition for every Schooling Show (SS) that has a qualified judge. Recognition will be listed on the NMDA Events chart on the "Show and Clinic Information" page of NMDressage.net. There will be a minimum of 4 USDF NMDA shows. NMDA will submit the scores to USDF after each such recognized show.
